We’ve published a lot of content and hosted several podcasts discussing how Design Systems transform operations, enable better collaboration, boost employee morale, and reduce costs for product teams. Most Nine Labs clients will tell you that we believe wholeheartedly in the transformative power of a well-thought-out Design System.
Yet for all the successes, significant ROI, and horsepower a Design System provides, they can also become a huge waste of resources if you’re not careful. In this latest episode of Design Driven, our Design Director Cathy Fisher and Nine Labs Founder J. Cornelius examine the perils and pitfalls of a neglected Design System.
In this 25-minute episode, we cover...
- How your Design System Implementation can hinder Development
- Tips for getting your Dev Team to buy into a Design System
- The resources your Design System needs to function properly
- How to avoid painful and costly re-works to your Design System
Whether you have a simple marketing website or a robust SaaS product, building a Design System should be part of your current product roadmap. If it’s not in your plans, our team of expert consultants can help you get started. If this powerful tool is in the works, check out this episode to ensure you don’t screw it up.
